Do you know who you are?

If you want to  create a future you need to really get to know yourself first – what are your values?  I speak to so many clients who when asked the simple question:  “What do you want?”  and their answer is “I don’t know”. I think one of the biggest stumbling blocks to this firstly not really knowing what is important to them.  I find that the most effective way to determine this is through the The Demartini Value Determination Process™. The Values Process The process to determine your values is a series of 13 questions.  For each question give you 3 top answers.   Once you have completed them you will see that there is a fair amount of repetition, this is because you show you priorities in different ways, so perfectly normal.  Group the similar answers together and count how many there are. The answers with the most answers are what you top values are: How do you fill your space? How do you spend your time? How do you spend your energy? How do you spend your money? Where are you most organized? Where are you most reliable? What dominates your thoughts? What do you visualize most? What do you most often talk to yourself about? Self Development “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves”  Viktor Franklin We often hear the statement:  “It’s about you”, you have to look within yourself to make the external world a different place.  This statement is sometimes   difficult to understand but it is really all about self development. I was listening to Dr. Wayne Dyer’s Power of Intention, and he gave this analogy which I think explains it really well.    If you have an orange and you squeeze it – you’ll get orange juice, because this is what comes out of an orange.   If some one puts pressure on you, what comes out is you, if you react with anger, fear, depression, worry, hatred, bitterness, or anxiety.  It’s not the person that is putting pressure on you, or they way they did it or the timing, it’s go to do with what’s inside of you.  It’s what is inside of you that matters.  If you are full of love for yourself then love is what will come out when you are under pressure. You can only give what you already have, if I asked you for $100 and you don’t have it, you can’t give it to me.  If you don’t have love for yourself you can’t show love for others.  Your affirmation for today:  “I am whole, I am perfect as I was created”.  Take time each day to do a little self development work.  The time you spend on self development does not have to be enormous, just start small and let it grow.  The...
